This FREE practice routine is unstructured and unguided, but aims to give students 1. an idea of what creative (free-flowing and unstructured) practice should look like and 2. a few examples of chords and movements that they can incorporate into their own playing.  Paired with structured routines of practicing scales, arpeggios, and chord theory, creative practice will help the student get more comfortable overall with improvisation and thinking "on the fly".
